Huawei releases new Mate 9 with 6GB RAM

Huawei Mate 9 with better specifications is now available in several online stores. The company started selling the first generation of its Mate 9 series since November.

The Chinese multinational networking and Telecommunications Company previously released two versions of the handset MHA-L29 (Global unit) and MHA-L09 (Chinese unit) with 4GB RAM. However, the newir new 5.9" octa-core device appeared in several online stores across the globe with better specifications than the first two released.

The new vanilla Huawei Mate 9 is packed with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM. Also, the handset now has a long battery life with 4000 mAh battery power and EMUI 5.0 based on Android Nougat 7.0, as reported by GSM Arena.

Core specs with the new handset remains the same, but the price for the new handset has been bumped up significantly. Base model remains at $600 USD while newer version is priced at $800 USD, Phone Arena revealed.

Talking about the price, the new Huawei Mate 9 is not really favorable since another phone, OnePlus 3T with 6GB RAM/128GB storage is available for only $480 USD. With its competitive performance and features, its sure is a deal since its priced lesser more than 50 percent of Mate 9.

Prices of the new Mate 9 in the European market is said to be a lot higher due to some additional taxes. While it is available in various online stores, the company hasn't made any announcement regarding its release.

Meanwhile, the Chinese company based in Shenzen, Guangdong was founded by Ren Zhengfei in 1987. And as of 2012, the company was hailed as the largest communications equipment manufacturer in the world, beating Ericsson.

The company started as a manufacture of phone switches, but later expanded into building telecommunications network to providing operational and consulting services, and more. To date, Huawei has over 170,000 employees, in which 76,000 are engaged in research and development (R&D).
