The realm of the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 is losing its touch. The recent Golden Globe awards failed to strengthen the position of the epic fantasy series of HBO. There are also insinuations that George RR Martin's works might be affected, particularly the release of "Winds of Winter."

It is undeniable that the legacy of the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 is still bearing strong, but it does not imply that its loss in the awards night would end its sixth legacy. However, the epic downfall of bagging the awards during the Globe awards night is still something to ponder upon.

Even though the series did not dominate the awards night, more positive details are still in store for the fans and followers of the series. According to Entertainment Weekly, responding to a fan on his blog, the "Game of Thrones" author said the long-awaited next book in his "A Song of Ice and Fire" saga, titled "The Winds of Winter," should be out this year, but Martin also noted, he's thought that before.

Indeed, Martin's last official update on the matter was last January, when he announced Winds would not be finished by the time series returned for its sixth season, as noted by the same post.

More report from Digital Spy also relayed that there is a possibility for the series to be released this year, but that remains unsettled and unverified. Moreover, the details pertaining to the release of "Winds of Winter" should be taken with a grain of salt in mind.

Last month, George RR Martin offered a grim hint about what story connecting the storyline of the "Game of Thrones" and the things that he has in store for all of the favorite characters.

According to Martin, "Winter is the time when things die, and cold and ice and darkness fill the world." With that in mind, it is expected that death and demise would dominate the storyline of the epic series, "The Game of Thrones."
