AOA's Jimin was overwhelmed with emotion during a recent fan-signing event after fans surprised her with a birthday celebration.

The girl group held a fan-signing event at the Ilji Art Hall in Gangnam, Seoul on Jan. 8, Sunday, which co-incidentally was also Jimin's 27th birthday and inn order to celebrate the occasion, fans presented the K-Pop idol with a birthday cake. Touched by the heartwarming gesture from her fans, Jimin broke down in tears and expressed her gratitude to the fans for their continuing love and support and for making her birthday special.

"When I was young, it was my dream to have a birthday party at 'McDonalds'... but I couldn't because it was always during the break," All Kpop quoted her as saying, when asked about why she was crying. "I'm thankful that so many of you came today."

This is not the first time an AOA member has been left in tears at a fan-signing. During a radio interview in July 2015, Mina revealed that she started crying during a fan-signing event earlier that month after a fan scolded her, as Soompi previously reported.

A teary-eyed Mina was photographed at an AOA fan-signing event earlier that month. The photos were being circulated on an online community site and showed the idol being scolded by a fan, who apparently criticized Mina's singing and told the idol to spend as time practicing singing as she does with her appearance.

AOA recently released their comeback album, "Angel's Knock" by dropping the double title tracks "Bing Bing" and "Excuse Me." The anticipation for the album was at an all-time high due to the excitement and hype created by their gorgeous concept teasers and news of their collaboration with music producer Brave Brothers, with whom they have previously delivered hits like "Miniskirt," "Short Hair," and "Heart Attack."
