OnePlus 3 and 3T users have another reason to celebrate New Year as OxygenOS 4.0.1 has been rolled out already. Reports suggest that the newest update is based on the Android 7.0 Nougat.

The latest OnePlus 3 and 3T update is expected to bring several improvements. Glitches on the Wi-Fi connectivity and APN settings for some carriers have also been fixed by the OxygenOS 4.0.1, Phone Arena reported.

Most users of the OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphone have complained about the unstable Wi-Fi Connection and a bug on the proximity sensor during calls. Good thing is, OxygenOS 4.0.1 has reportedly brought solutions to these malfunctions alongside a much-improved system stability.

The news outlet has also suggested that OnePlus 3 and 3T users who cannot download applications using Data Roaming should ask Google for help. Some troubleshooting tips were already provided to solve this issue on the Google Play Store.

If the glitch persists, OnePlus 3 and 3T users are advised to switch on the Battery Saving Mode and retuning the Google Play app preferences, Gadgets360 shared. Another way to fix this problem is by simply uninstalling apps like AVG Antivirus, Paytm and Truecaller.

At the moment, the OxygenOS 4.0.1 is not yet available to all OnePlus 3 and 3T users. The rollout is going to be incremental, which means it will be released in batches.

Meanwhile, it has been suggested that OnePlus might not be releasing the OnePlus 4 this year following the launch of the OnePlus 3 and 3T. The news outlet claimed number 4 is considered to bring back luck China; so, it might name its new offering as the OnePlus 5 instead, Tech Advisor shared.

"Plenty of Chinese phone makers have announced phones with the number four in their name," Tech Advisor has reported about the upcoming successor of OnePlus 3 and 3T. "... But it has been pointed out that the company that owns OnePlus also makes devices under the Vivo brand jumped directly from the Vivo V3 to the Vivo V5 with the same expected reasoning."

It added that OnePlus 5 will be featuring the Snapdragon 385 processor, which is also expected to be embedded in LG G6, Samsung Galaxy S8 and the HTC 11. There are also reports saying that the OnePlus 3 and 3T successor might feature a curved screen.

Though these reports could possibly be true, tech geeks are advised to take things with a grain of salt until everything is confirmed. Below, watch how to get Android 7.0 Nougat OTA update on OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.
