CM Punk did not have all the best of luck when he made a transition from combat sport to mix martial arts. While it is possible that he might have another UFC fight in the future, what's getting more attention is the hearsay that he will just return to WWE for good. How true are the rumors?
The rumor mill suggests that CM Punk is about to join WrestleMania 33. The said pay-per-view event will happen on April 2 at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
There is no confirmation from WWE whether CM Punk will be joining or not. But when asked by a fan if the rumors about his return are true, Punk made a quite sarcastic remark.

Besides, UFC president Dana White did not write off CM Punk in UFC yet. Fans are willing to see him have one more fight and if he loses then he might need to fight somewhere else. Does "somewhere else" refer to WWE?
In an interview with TMZ Sports, White said he and CM Punk have not figured out if he will fight again but they will. However, it was followed by "I don't know."
A couple of years after CM Punk retired from professional wrestling in 2014, he tried his luck in UFC. But after losing to Mickey Gall with his first fight last September, it seems like mixed martial arts is not for the retired WWE champ.
But because anyone can return to WWE, seeing CM Punk in the league is not impossible at all. This is regardless of all the bad blood he had with WWE bosses and a few wrestlers. If ever he will make it to the WrestleMania 33, it is possible he will go against AJ Styles, Seth Rollins and other wrestlers on the current roster like Kevin Owens and Finn Balor.
He has not settled the lawsuit with WWE doctor Chris Amman who sued him and Colt Cabana for defamation of character. He accused Amman of negligence on the infamous whistle-blowing episode of Cabana's "Art of Wrestling" podcast, according to The Sun.co.uk.
