AMZ is facing a new frontier aimed to dominate the technology. Its new Zen CPU is also presumed to outpace Intel's product flagship as well. Power and resiliency are among the highly sought features of any core processors.

Given the strong competition in the tech world, AMD is already gearing up to attain the pedestal with its strong specs and features. Digital Trends reported that while Intel has made some noise at CES 2017 with a host of PCs using its seventh-generation Core processors, AMD hasn't been sitting still and with its introduction of its Ryzen CPU, AMD has countered Intel's best with some excellent performance of its own.

Ryzen represents a more aggressive improvement over AMD's previous architecture, Excavator, with the new Zen chips offering a full 40 percent improvement and it focused on smaller performance increases and better mobile battery life, as noted by the same post.

PC World also relayed that Intel's tick-tock cadence has typically meant that it develops a new microarchitecture every two years, with Kaby Lake the exception and though AMD has never taken the time to formalize it, a three- to four-year lifespan for its own CPU architectures is about average.

One of the things AMD has tried to do with the Zen architecture is "go wide," increasing the number of instructions that the chip can process, and Zen uses predictive tables and machine learning to improve its ability to ask and process data before it's actually needed, known as branch prediction, according to the same report.

It stands out that in terms of specs and features AMD and Intel could go a long way in regards to their devices, their flagship models and innovating processors and technology.
