Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo-Wurtzbach was recently applauded for her strong Filipino accent.

Unlike the other local celebrities, Wurtzbach's accent never changed regardless if she was in the Philippines or in the United States.

It's quite obvious that her Filipino roots are very strong, and fans couldn't help but commend her for not even trying to pretend that she has an American accent or the like.

According to Rappler, listening to how Wurtzbach talks and responds to interviews is quite the breath of fresh air for a lot of Filipinos.

Writer Bayani S. Cruz was quoted, "I'm not talking about the Pinoy English accent that comedians like to mimic, you know where the 'F' becomes a 'P,' the 'I' becomes an 'E' etc. Neither am I talking about the Taglish accent where most the sentences end with an 'eh' or an 'ah.'"

Meanwhile, Cruz acknowledged the fact that there have been some instances wherein Wurtzbach would buckle during her interviews. However, not many people actually take it against her because they understand that she grew up in the Philippines.

Additionally, the beauty queen's presence and charm is more than enough to make others forgive her for those little mistakes.

In other news, Wurtzbach was recently welcomed by the Filipinos when she arrived in the Philippines and went on a motorcade ride along the different key areas in Metro Manila.

Following her successful parade, Wurtzbach was also given a warm welcome on Wednesday afternoon on "It's Showtime!"

While there, Wurtzbach walked on the red carpet, and she was also interviewed by some of the hosts on the show.

According to The Manila Bulletin, Wurtzbach also took the opportunity to thank her Filipino fans for their unwavering support during and even after the competition.

Some of the hosts from the noontime show also shared selfies with the beauty queen.

Jhong Hilario wrote, "Naka una ng selfie! Galawang Jhong! Congrats @piawurtzbach.

Anne Curtis also gushed over Wurtzbach on her Instagram post.

"Yung hindi ka maka-smile ng tama kasi sobrang happy and kilig ka. Nawala yung eyes ko because my smile was so big! Hahaha! Grabe!! Congratulations our MISS UNIVERSE 2015 @piawurtzbach. Thank you for gracing our Showtime stage once again. We were all in awe of your beauty!" she wrote.
