"Bajirao Mastani" actress Deepika Padukone is making sure to leave no stone unturned as she is gearing up for her Hollywood movie debut "XXX: The Return Of Xander Cage." The actress has kick started a rigorous work out plan to develop a well-toned body, as she is set to star along with none other than Hollywood bigwig Vin Diesel.
Padukone will reportedly leave on Feb. 2 for Toronto, where the shooting of "XXX: The Return Of Xander Cage" will be filmed extensively. The team will later move to Los Angeles to shoot the rest of the scenes.
The 30-year-old actress is currently being trained by celebrity trainer Yasmin Karachiwala in her native city, Bangalore, where the actress is reportedly spending time with her parents and sister too, before she goes abroad for two months.
The rigorous workout plan, which was kicked off in the first week of January, involves lots of Pilates and functional training, as the actress needs to look "tough like someone who is always ready for a fight."
"Our new workout plan involves a lot of functional strength training, starting with basic weight training," Times Of India quoted Karachiwala as saying. Currently, the actress takes her training daily for just an hour, involving bosu, exercise routines involving a ball, and TRX suspension training, but the same is likely to increase very soon.
Karachiwala was quick to point out that since Padukone is an athlete, being a former badminton player of international repute, she enjoys the workout.
Although Padukone has been keeping mum about her role in her Hollywood movie debut, it is being rumored that she will be seen playing the role of badass fighter named Serena, who happens to be a key character in the movie, India TV News reported.
Apart from returning lead actor Diesel, Padukone will share the screen space Samuel L. Jackson, Conor McGregor, Jet Li, Tony Jaa, Nina Dobrev and Ruby Rose.
Meanwhile, the media went into a frenzy when the actress referred to her "Bajrao Mastani" co-star Ranveer Singh as her "boyfriend." Although the duo was rumored to be romantically linked since last couple of years, this was the first time that the actress has spoken openly about the relationship.
