From the "Hunger Games" series to "The Edge of Seventeen," Hollywood has never failed to deliver some of the most relatable and heartwarming YA movies year after year. Here are some of the upcoming YA movies of 2017 and series that will definitely tug at teens and even adults' heartstrings, and even give viewers tips on how to survive mysterious school murders.

Before I Fall

Like most young adult films in recent time, "Before I Fall" is based on the YA novel written by Lauren Oliver. The movie tells the story of 17-year-old Sam (Zoey Dutch) who, after a road accident, is forced to relive the day of her death every day until she makes things right in her life and with her relationships.

13 Reasons Why

Yet another best-selling YA title, "13 Reasons Why" has been developed into a series and will soon debut on Netflix. As per Deadline, the movie stars "Goosebumps" star Dylan Minnette and newcomer Katherine Langford in leading roles. Singer and actress Selena Gomez is attached as a producer.

"13 Reasons Why" follows the story of Clay Jensen (Minnette) who receives 13 cassette tapes from Hannah Baker (Langford), a classmate who just committed suicide. In the tapes, Hannah explains that 13 people, including Clay, are the reason for her depression. The tapes are then to be passed to the 13 people.

Wonder

The movie stars Jacob Tremblay, the young star of the Oscar-winning "Room." He plays a young boy who is trying to fit in. The movie is directed by Stephen Chbosky, who also worked on "The Perks of Being a Wallflower."

Sleight

The fantasy-themed film follows Bo (Jacob Latimore), a street magician who uses his ability to turn to crime in order to provide for himself and his young sister. However, things spiral down when his sister gets kidnap and now he must use his magical skills for them to stay alive.

Bad Kids of Crestview Academy

The movie follows a group of six students who are placed on Saturday detention. What appears to be a quiet Saturday in school turns into a fight for survival as the students get locked inside and one by one fall victim to a series of mysterious deaths.

According to Movie Pilot, the movie stars Sean Astin as the school's headmaster. The comedy-thriller has been rated R.
