JYJ's Jaejoong and Super Junior's Sungmin were recently discharged from the military after completing two years of mandatory service on Friday. The two K-Pop idols were greeted by hundreds of fans who greeted them on their return.

"I was able to complete my duties safely thanks to my comrades and people who have been cheering for me," Jaejoong told Yonhap News. He served the 55th Army division in Yongin. He is scheduled to hold a fan event on Dec. 31 at the COEX Live Plaza.

On Dec. 30, Jaejoong greeted his fans at an event where he also accommodated his first set of interviews following his discharge. During the interview, the JYJ singer talked about which girl groups are popular among men in the military. He revealed that TWICE and BLACKPINK are the most popular choices in the military, Koreaboo reported.

Jaejoong also shared his plans now that he's completed his military service and ready to return in the limelight. He detailed that he will have a fan meeting, after which he will greet his fans in Korea and overseas through a tour. "I will work hard and thank you for waiting," Jaejoong told his fans.

Sungmin, on the other hand, served in the 17th division in Incheon. His discharge follows that of Shindong, who completed his mandatory military service on Dec. 23. Sungmin was warmly greeted by his wife, Kim Sa Eun, who expressed her happiness about his arrival through Instagram. She posted a photo of a bouquet and wrote, "Congratulations!" Sungmin and Kim Sa Eun got married in Dec. 13, just a few weeks before he was scheduled to enlist in the military.

The other Super Junior members serving in the military-including Eunhyuk and Donghae-will complete their mandatory military service in 2017. With that, SM Entertainment is planning a grand comeback for Super Junior as well as TVXQ since Yunho will complete his service in 2017.
