SEVENTEEN’s S.Coups reveals he misses sleep just to watch Gong Yoo’s ‘Goblin’

S.Coups revealed that he has been enjoying Gong Yoo's drama "Goblin" these days. The 21-year old singer is the leader of the K-Pop group SEVENTEEN.

On Dec. 20, during the group's Naver V Live broadcast, members S.Coups, Mingyu, and Seungkwan got the chance to greet their fans. During the broadcast, S.Coups revealed that he is enjoying Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun's "Goblin."

Following the revelation, band-mate Seungkwan asked, "I wonder how you can watch a drama when you're so busy." To which S.Coups replied, "I watch it whenever I can. I cut down on sleep to watch it," Soompi reported.

The singer also added a fan recently gave him a collection of poems that appeared in the drama. He even divulged that he is currently reading one of the poems called "The Horizon," which is included in the collection that made him feel emotional.

His group, SEVENTEEN is presently promoting their single "BOOMBOOM," which is included in their third mini album "Going Seventeen." The group was formed by Pledis Entertainment in 2015.

Meanwhile, the South Korean television drama series "Goblin" starring Gong, Kim, Lee Dong Wook, and Yoo In-na airs every Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m KST on the cable network channel tvN. The series started airing last Dec. 2 and is expected to wrap up after sixteen episodes.

Playing as Samshin, the goddess of birth and fate in the drama, the South Korean actress Lee El revealed what it feels like to play as an old lady in the drama. In an interview with Korean Ilbo, the 34-year old actress revealed, "Putting on makeup to become a grandma was difficult. It made me question, could I do this ever again?" Allkpop has learned.

The actress also divulged that she has to completely lower her voice to achieve the right tone for her role in the drama. The makeup, took almost five hours to complete since special prosthetics had to be put on both hands.

"Guardian: The Lonely and Great God" or better known as "Goblin," narrates the story of a goblin, who is also a protector of souls living together with a grim reaper who is in charge of taking deceased souls. Together, the two of them see the dead off into the afterlife.
