“On the Wings of Love” star Nadine Lustre opens up about her rumored relationship with co-star James Reid. Fans of Jadine were surprised when ABS-CBN publicist Eric John Salut tweeted that the two are already a couple.
On January 21, Salut, on his personal Twitter account, hinted that there is something special between Lustre and Reid. He shared that he is happy for the young stars, adding that they should take care of what they have.

This weekend, however, Salut apologized to Jadine fans for the oversight. He shared a message from Lustre, in which the actress explained that the rumors are not true. She insisted that she and Reid are just friends. Lustre added that Salut's tweet put them in a difficult situation, since they do not want fans to expect more from their love team.

Salut immediately apologized to both Lustre and Reid. He added that he respects their privacy and would not be posting any update about Jadine for his "own piece of mind."

In an interview with YES! Magazine, the 22-year-old admitted that she is not closing doors to the possibility of dating Reid in the future. While there is a chance that they will eventually end up together, Lustre shared that they would like to focus on their respective careers for the time being.
Lustre added that she also liked taking care of Reid on the set of "On the Wings of Love." She shared that she has always been attentive of his needs, bringing Reid food and vitamins.
"I guess I have this unconditional love for him since we do everything together; he knows what I feel. I know what he feels. He's important to me."
In other news, Lustre said that she felt very flattered to be considered for the role of Darna. Speaking to Pep, the actress shared that she will be willing to audition for the role given the chance. Lustre, however, admitted that she felt uncertain if she will be able to give justice to the role. She added that there will be a lot of preparations.
Reid, on the other hand, believes that Lustre will be perfect to play Darna.
"Number one [reason], she's Pinay. Two, she has the physique, and she can demonstrate power because that's what Darna is all about."
