While talks about the upcoming "Batman" movie starring Ben Affleck seem to build up the hype for fans, the movie is still a long way off with the script not being finished.

During a recent interview with The New York Times during a Facebook Live Event, Affleck discussed about his career in acting and the reason why chose to play the caped crusader in the DC Cinematic Universe. When asked about the upcoming movie "The Batman," he mentioned that the script for the film is doing well. However, Affleck did say that the filmmakers are not in a rush to let the film just because of a deadline.

"I'm a real believer in not doing, not reverse engineering projects to meet a window or a date, but rather like when you get the right story or you get the right idea or you get the right thing, then you make the movie," Affleck said in the recent interview The New York Times.

Affleck also expressed his desire to really direct an "iconic, great Batman movie."

Other than the Batman actor attesting that the film shows a lot of promises, "True Blood" actor Joe Manganiello says that the film will be going in a unique direction and is bound to make a lot of people "really happy," as based on his recent interview with Mark Madden, Super Genius podcast.

Manganiello, who will be cast as the villain Deathstroke, said the "[Ben Affleck's] take take is a fresh take, but I think the audience is going to be surprised. Because it's a road that no one's really gone down that's completely integral to who Batman is."

Manganiello went on to add: ["And I think it's gonna be refreshing but at the same time completely familiar. [I]t's going to take this franchise in a direction that I think A LOT of people are going to be really happy about. It's going to be gritty and action-packed and cerebral and all of those elements that people love about Batman."

In other news, "Justice League 2" has already moved out of the way from its release date of June 14, 2019 for to make way for the solo "Batman" film. Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes mentioned that the film starring Ben Affleck is set for "year and a half out."
