Developer Rebellion has released a new trailer for "Sniper Elite 4" for a mission entitled "Target Führer."
According to sources, "Sniper Elite 4: Target Führer" will be offered to those who order a copy of the stealth action shooter game ahead of its February 2017 debut. "Target: Führer" isn't really an integral part of the mission per se, but a free bonus mission for those who preorder.
According to earlier reports by Gamespot, the mission takes place in the Mediterranean on a secret Nazi U-Boat. The mission is playable by 1-2 players and they are taked in killing Hitler of the Third Reich. Players can also be tasked with destroying the facility as well. The campaign mission is replayable as is with the other campaign missions, as well as finding multiple ways to accomplish the tasks.
"Sniper Elite 4" picks up "immediately" after the events of "Sniper Elite III," released back then in 2014. Players once more don soldier uniform of control Karl Fairburne, an Office of Strategic Services agent, who takes up arms and assists the men and women of the Italian resistance force to fight against the Fascists in World War II -- presumably against Benito Mussolini. With the events being the case, the game is set in 1943 during the Second World War.
The tactical shooter game is played from a third-person perspective, predominantly having stealth elements. The X-Ray kill cam system returns once more as the players kill an enemy using a sniper rifle from a long distance, showing the sniper bullet slowly passing through its enemy victim's body, rupturing and breaking body parts, bones or internal body organs.
"Sniper Elite 4" also now runs in native 1080p on PS4 and Xbox One, without being restricted by last-generation hardware.
Sniper Elite 4 releases on Feb. 14, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
