Set photos of "Ocean's 8" has surfaced revealing Rihanna as an undercover agent.
The hitmaker turned actress has been announced as a member of the team. The photos recently hit online and has made rounds via the internet. While many details about the film have been kept under wraps, Rihanna's role as an undercover agent cannot be denied.
In one photo, she sports a grey jumpsuit presumably as a janitor with a tag that says her name is "Angela." In another shot, she is seen sharing lunch with co-star Sandra Bullock. Aside from the two, the all-star cast includes Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Sarah Paulson, Nora Lum and Mindy Kaling, People reported.
In an interview, director Gary Ross said that "Ocean's 8" will have a similar tone to the past "Ocean's Eleven" trilogy which starred Hollywood royalties Brad Pitt and George Clooney. Ross went to say that he is in fact, good friends with Steven Sodenbergh who helmed the earlier films, Slashfilm reported.
"You know, Steven Soderbergh and I are incredibly close friends, and we would not have done this if we weren't. I don't think he would've wanted anyone to do it if we weren't. This is very much an extension and a continuation," he said.
As for Rihanna, the 28-year-old pop star is slowly but surely making a smooth transition to Hollywood by beefing up her resume with film roles. Recently she had a voice role in the animated film "Home." She also booked a major role in the upcoming science fiction film "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" which will premiere in 2017 and is rumored to be included in "Annette."
