"Star Wars: Rogue One" premiere will be streamed live for free before its worldwide release. After that, responses from critics will be released.

In "The Star Wars Show" LA red carpet premiere, it was announced that the embargo for reviews and critical reactions will be lifted on December 13, before the film is released worldwide. The news has been confirmed by film critic Alan Ziberman on Twitter, Screen Rant reported.

Disney and Lucasfilm did the same thing with "The Force Awakens" so the moves it not come exactly as a surprise. The tradition would likely continue after "Rogue One" which kicks off a potential wave of more standalone films in the pipeline.

Elsewhere, director Gareth Edwards took the liberty to reveal an Easter egg that may have escaped some viewers. The references though, has something to do with his blockbuster hit, "Godzilla," Cinema Blend reported.

"There's some Easter eggs. In Saw's [Gerrera's] cave, there are some cave paintings. One of them is of the creatures that were in my first film, called Monsters, and then there's a Godzilla. I didn't ask for it, I just came in one day and saw it."

There were also rumors that an iconic character Grand Moff Tarkin will also be appearing in the film. If that is the case, Gerrera's cave might not be the only setting in "Rogue One" where Easter eggs to previous films will be found.

For now Lucasfilm is doing its best to limit spoilers from coming out since its prequel, "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope" has been announced. This development should provide several avenues for references along the way

"Rogue One" is currently the best pre-selling film of 2016 earning $130 million in its opening weekend. Watch The Star Wars Show interview with its director below:
