Following reports of Sulli's wrist injury, netizens speculated several things that resulted to the incident. As a result, a source affiliated with SM Entertainment has spoken up to clarify what really happened to the artist.
According to Soompi, Sulli had to go to the emergency room to be treated for her wrist injury, which was reportedly a 2-inch cut. An insider from Seoul National University Hospital described the "cut was deep enough to show her muscles."
Reports claimed the artist was accompanied by her manager in the hospital. Further claims stated the treatment lasted for 30 minutes before Sulli was allowed to go home.
"We spoke with Sulli, and confirmed that she injured her wrist due to carelessness while at home. She went to the emergency on Friday morning for treatment, after which she came home," the source said.
Despite the clarification, some netizens accused Sulli attempted suicide, hence, the wrist injury. Rumor has it that Sulli and her boyfriend, Choiza, are going through something in their relationship.
Others even claimed Sulli was drunk when she went to the hospital to get treatment after allegedly cutting her own wrist. However, Choiza's agency released a statement, stating they do not meddle with their artist's personal life.
"There's gossip regarding Choiza and Sulli's allegedly bad relationship, but we cannot say. It's not possible for the agency to look into the domain of his personal life," Amoeba Culture said as per Allkpop.
Choiza refused to give a statement about the rumor, while Sulli took to her Instagram on the same day to apologize to her fans for the incident. The artist posted a photo of herself alongside her sphynx cat and wrote, "I hurt myself on accident. I'm sorry as it seems I've caused people to worry."
