After the recent interview with fashion news outlet International Bnt, Teentop's youngest member Changjo, opened up about his bipolar disorder. "I had bipolar disorder. When one thing went down, everything felt like it was bad, and even when I got a little mad I felt angry all day. I also had insecurities about my looks, so I went on a severe diet. I ate one meal a day or ate salad in place of a meal", he said, as quoted by Allkpop.
Moreover, the idol has also suffered from his personal insecurities in which are rooted from his bad acne problems, and as well as his slender frame. As insecurity is one of the symptoms of a bipolar illness that is too hard to fight, the 21 year old singer-actor eventually took care of his acne problems with a saline solution, and that Teen Top Changjo has also went into severe diet to lessen his insecurities about his looks.
"I had bad acne too, but I took care of it with saline solution. I placed cotton balls with saline solution on sensitive spots and my skin improved in just 3 days. The part [of my face] that I am most insecure about is the jaw line. I envy the face shape of Lee Jun Ki sunbaenim," Changjo admitted.
According to Kpop Herald, Teen Top Changjo confessed he was obsessed with having clear skin and a slender body, which pushed him to start a strict diet and skincare routine.
Teen Top Changjo started out his career when he was 14 years old, and since then he has been exposed to the pressures of the media, although being well loved by his fans, Changjo has been going through the difficulties of having a serious mental illness.
While doctors discovered that good and ample rest is the main remedy for a bipolar disorder, Changjo's relationship with Teentop, friends, and fans has helped me greatly to cope with which gives him a greater chance of winning over his battle against the disorder.
