After the massive success of “Scarlet Heart: Ryeo”, South Korean actor Hong Jong Hyun shared his thoughts about co-stars IU and EXO member Baekhyun in his recent interview.
In an interview with TV Report on November 9, the Hallyu star revealed that he had always thought of the singer-actress as a sensitive person mainly due to the fact that she is a musician. He further expressed his admiration IU during the talk.
"Because she's someone who does music, she was able to express sensitive feelings well. She was also mature for her age. She looks very small, thin, feminine, and like she'd get tired soon, but she's not like that at all. I don't know if it's because her stamina's good or if she just withstood it, but she has more strength than an average man. She held her form from beginning to end," said Hong as quoted by All KPop.
He added: “Though acting isn't her original career and she's still gaining experience, she was extremely professional."
Aside from sharing his thoughts towards IU, the 26-year-old star also talked about his perceptions towards EXO’s Baekhyun. He also admitted that he was surprised by the KPop idol’s character.
“But in Baekhyun’s case, I was completely surprised. It was the first time I looked at a guy and thought he was cute. I finally understood why he was so popular. Though he was very bright and playful on set, he also has an aspect of perfectionism. He practices a lot,” stated the actor as quoted by Soompi.
Hong started his career in the industry in 2007 as a professional model. He later starred in several acting projects including “Dating Agency: Cyrano”, “Her Lovely Heels”, and “Mama”.
