There have been rumors around the Samsung Galaxy S8 and some of the latest that we've got from China's Weibo network is that it won't have a screen that will support 4K at all. But for better news, on the other hand, the phone is said to have a digital AI assistant that can be brought out.
According to GSM Arena, the Galaxy S8 would most likely stick to the QHD resolution of the current Galaxy S7 since they would be aware and conscious of both performance and battery life, especially that 576ppi makes the 5.1" really sharp, as stated by Samsung themselves. Although the idea for having 4K seems promising especially when bringing in VR quality to the S8, it seems practical that smartphones won't be having that yet since their GPU can't handle 4K VR yet.
As for the AI assistant, the Wall Street Journal reports that the phone's company Samsung seems to be bent on developing and innovating its new digital assistant, alongside making a physical button for it. The said button will be designed to be built on the side edge of the phone that, once pressed, the assistant will pop out immediately. This may be somewhat a revolutionary move for Samsung since the digital AI assistant feature will likely appear in other Samsung devices as well.
The new Samsung Galaxy S8 has been in talks for quite a while now in spite of the actual release being 3 months from now. The Galaxy S8 is said to be revealed in the Mobile World Congress 2017 on Feb. 26, 2017.
