BEAST leader Yoon Doo Joon might return to the small screen as Lee Hwan Ki. The 27-year old singer is said to be interested in the role.
On Oct. 27, statement form an industry source revealed that the Doojoon is presently considering the offer as lead role in the upcoming tvN drama "Introverted Boss," Soompi reported. Doojoon will play as Lee Hwan Ki, an elusive president of a leading PR agency.
In the drama, Doojoon will appear cold and unapproachable to many as he always keep his distance to people. More so, the character is remarkably modest and introverted to the point where he overanalyzes and overly careful about everything.
The drama depicts the story of Lee, who ends up losing everything due because he would rather die than gain attention at the PR agency. The story will also reveal how he will grow as a person not just in his career but also personally.
Director Song Hyun Wook of "Marriage, Not Dating," "Super Daddy 10," and "Another Oh Hae Young" will direct the upcoming drama. Script will be written by Joo Hwa Mi who previously worked with director Song on "Marriage, Not Dating."
"Introverted Boss" is slated to air in January 2017, replacing tvN's Monday-Tuesday schedule of "Drinking Solo," and "Rude Miss Young Ae" Season 15. The two show are also expected to wrap up before the year ends.
Meanwhile, it was previously reported that BEAST's seven year contract with label Cube Entertainment has ended. The label revealed that the group have not yet made any decision regarding with their label.
However, in a report by AllKpop, Doojoon hinted a possible label change through a post on his Instagram account. "Busan is so far away... But thank you, thank you to everyone who came from all over the place. Soon it'll be our 7th anniversary... A lot of things will change, but hopefull everyone can get used to it quickly!!! Thank you, B2UTY, B2ST, everyone worked hard! Please continue to take care of us."
Further adding that the second story of BEAST will now start. The singer also reminisced their journey before debuting as a group.
