SHINee’s Key shares that Ki Bum is the reason why he entered the world of acting

South Korean singer and actor Key of the boy group SHINee was recently invited in MBC’s “Tei's Dreaming Radio". During the show, the star revealed that actor and former Super Junior member Ki Bum is the reason why he entered the world of acting.

“At first, I worried about if I should take part in the drama or not. I got advice from my manager hyungs and peers. The ultimate reason I decided to was because of the character Ki Bum,” the 25-year-old artist stated as quoted by All Kpop.

He added: “I heard the scriptwriter created the character with me in mind. It's a character that has a lot of me in it."

Key is currently one of the of the cast members in the TV drama series “Drinking Solo” starring Ha Seok Jin and Park Ha Sun. Although the show is his first acting project, the KPop star received positive remarks not only from the fans but from the respected people in the industry as well.

“First off, Key is incredibly hardworking. He prepared a lot in advance and as an actor, he comprehensively analyzed his character role. He is receiving the love of the staff members. At the time of his audition, he may not have had experience in dramas but instead, I received a fresh aura from him. His acting and his enunciation is good and so we decided to cast him,” said “Drinking Solo’s” producing director (PD) Choi Kyu Shik as quoted by Soompi.

Meanwhile, SHINee has recently released the music video of their new single “1 of 1". The song received positive responses from the fans and even topped the music charts.
