Season five premiere of "Chicago Fire" is one crazy episode. It feels like an episode of the CBS cancelled series "Stalker".

The craziness was all because of Stella's former husband Grant. Even though she already had proof that Grant was in her apartment, Stella tried to play it cool and shrugged off the potential threats. Obviously that was creepy but Stella said it is no big deal.

Adding shudder to the idea is the fact that Grant could be in the apartment all along while Stella and Severide were in bed together. She even insisted that the guy cannot even hurt a fly.

But in turn out she was wrong. Grant tried to to hurt her, physically and verbally. Fortunately, and unfortunately for Grant, Severide walks in on the scene and lunges at Grant, slashing the other man's throat, possibly fatally.

If Severide killed Grant, this could lead to a possible "Chicago Justice" crossover. It would probably be a nice one.

Meanwhile, Dawson is having doubts about juggling being a foster mom and firefighter. She and Casey are really committed to each other, and Casey is also smitten by baby Louie. He even tells Susan Weller that he's not interested in pursuing a political career because he wants to concentrate on being a firefighter, among other things.

But Dawson is worried that Louie will once again be left an orphan if both of his parents are running into burning buildings. She then asked Boden to be assigned to the ambulance unit until the drama with Jimmy blew over.

His insubordination led to Jimmy's suspension but not for long. The higher-ups inform Boden that the Jimmy is going to be reassigned to truck while a full investigation is being launched into his brother's death.

The fire station's Chief Boden is very adamant about Jimmy not coming back and told Mouch he can bring that back to the union, even after Casey says he can be back on truck and under his watch. Severide then told everyone to load up and that they are going for a ride.

Severide then took the truck and crew to Jimmy's house. He told Jimmy, "shut up and listen," that he is hurting one of the greatest men he has ever known; and continued telling Jimmy he is cheapening his brother's death by doing things he had done. Severide told him to man up and be the person he knows he can be."
