After 'The Case Of: JonBenét Ramsey' was aired on September 18, 2016, JonBenét's accused brother, Burke, is suing Dr. Werner Spitz. The accused brother took the action and filed $150 million defamation lawsuit after pinpointing him as the murderer of his younger sister, JonBenét.

"Spitz made this accusation without ever examining JonBenét's body, without viewing the crime scene, and without consulting with the pathologist who performed the autopsy on JonBenét," Ramsey's complaint, filed in Wayne County Circuit Court in Detroit, said, The New York Daily News reported.

Note that Burke Ramsey was accused of killing his younger sister JonBenét due to a fit of anger. He hit her with a flashlight on the head after getting food from his bowl on Christmas night.

According to Business Insider, the complaint was filed on Thursday in the third circuit court for the County of Wayne, Michigan. Spitz is incriminated as a 'publicity seeker' and involved himself once more into a high-profile case to create unverified, deceitful, and dramatic statements and indictments. The criticism demands a jury trial and asks not less than $150 million in retraction, damages, and no additional defamatory allegation against Burke.

In 2008, JonBenét's parents, John and Patsy including her brother Burke were acquitted of charges when the prosecutors said that the DNA on her underwear does not belong to any of the family members. It was reported that a man named John Mark Karr was arrested for killing JonBenét. He was charged with murder, kidnapping, and sexual assault. But after the findings, he was cleared of the charges especially with the fact that his DNA didn't match the one found in the little girl's underwear.

Spitz's representative informed that the chief investigator has no comment. The network's spokesperson said that CBS withstands by the broadcast and will do the same in court. The 20-year-old murder case has not been solved after all, since the 'accused' murderer is objecting and filing a complaint with a huge amount of money involved.
