Enrique Iglesias has recently confirmed that he will be releasing a new album this 2016, a follow up to his 2014 album, “Sex and Love.” The King of Latin Pop is also rumored to do a collaboration with One Direction’s Liam Payne.

In an interview with E! News Latino, via Latin Post, members of One Direction were asked which Latin singer would they want to work with in the future. Although they mentioned several artist, including Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull, the boys seemed to agree that singing with Iglesias seemed like a good idea.

Payne explained that they heard about Iglesias' upcoming album and were definitely intrigued by it.

"I like that he has a lot of dancing in it, it's quite sick. He's a cool guy," he shared.

In September, Horan also shared a photo of him and Iglesias after his "Sex and Love" tour in Las Vegas.

According to Earth the Necklace, given that One Direction is on a hiatus, it is definitely possible for Payne and Iglesias to work on something together. Payne previously hinted that the hiatus could take as long as two years, which is definitely more than enough time for a collaboration.

When Zayn Malik left One Direction in March of last year, many thought that this will be the end for the band. When the group announced that they will be going on an extended hiatus, insiders speculated that the split will be permanent. The group, however, insisted that they are merely taking a break after years of non-stop working. They added that they will be back to bring fans new music.

In other news, multiple sources claimed that Iglesias and girlfriend Anna Kournikova are already engaged. The former tennis star was seen wearing what seemed to be an engagement ring on her left finger.

According to the Daily Mail, Kournikova, however, claimed that she and Iglesias have no plans of getting married. Although the two have been together since 2001, Kournikova shared that they had not talked about tying the knot and starting a family. The part Filipino, part Spanish singer has yet to address engagement rumors.
