A wild trade rumor has recently emerged talking about a potential three-team deal that will send Chris Paul and a 2021 first round draft pick to the New York Knicks, John Wall and Otto Porter to the Los Angeles Clippers, and Derrick Rose and Kristaps Porzingis to the Washington Wizards.

This speculation, which will certainly be a high-profile deal should it actually happen, originated in a website called NBA Trade Rumors where fans get to suggest and debate about potential trades in the league at the moment.

The suggested trade scenario noted that the Knicks would definitely lose a potential superstar in Porzingis but that a Chris Paul-Carmelo Anthony partnership may be too good to pass up as it is an opportunity for New York to become an instant contender with the two players on board.

In the deal, New York also gets what "could be a valuable trade asset in the future", which is the 2012 first-round pick.

Rumors had arisen this summer that Wall and current backcourt partner Bradley Beal are having compatibility issues ever since the Wizards signed the latter to a new mega-money five-year deal. If the spat between the two manifests on the court and affects team chemistry, then Washington would be better off with Derrick Rose manning the point guard chores. Plus, the upside in Porzingis is so enormous that they actually get the better end in this deal.

Meanwhile, the Clips get much younger and athletic with Wall and Porter. The team instantly solves their small forward issues with Porter and they do not have to think about losing CP3 in free agency next summer for nothing anymore.

Overall, the three-team trade will benefit all parties involved in different levels, so it remains to be seen whether it could work for each team. Among the players mentioned in the proposed trade, Rose is said to be "as much a wildcard as Porzingis", as per Inquisitr.

Rose, of course, is a former league MVP, three-time All-Star, and has such a high-profile that could help elevate the status of any squad he is in. However, his injury issues in recent years have made his value drop to where it is now.
