"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" was a groundbreaking change in the series back then in 2007. With all the previous World War 2 themed titles in the series, the game was refreshing for players, taking them into a modern setting. With news of a remastered version in the works bundled along with the "Infinite Warfare" title, fans are more than delighted to get in side by side with Captain Price and the whole crew. But, even more rumors have surfaced about the remastered classic: "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" might have a standalone release.

Basing it on the reports of Attack of the Fanboy, Raven Studios director David Pellas may have hinted that there will be one. While discussing about the 10 multiplayer maps, Pellas made a few notable comments on the matter.

Along with the 10 multiplayer maps in the remastered release, the Raven Studios director announced that the company will be delivering six more maps "to anyone who purchases Modern Warfare Remastered." As a result, "anyone who owns it or a version of Infinite Warfare that comes with it, [players] are going to get all 16 of the maps for no additional cost."

Deducing and interpreting Pellas' wording may in fact suggest different methods in acquiring  "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered." While it may be possible that that may be the case, the official FAQ of the game says otherwise. Based on what the FAQ says, "Modern Warfare Remastered" can only be available "through the Legacy, Legacy Pro, and Digital Deluxe versions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." In other words, the remastered game can only be accessed by buying "Infinite Warfare."

In other related news, speaking of multiplayer maps, "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" will be including 16 of the default maps from the original version, according to Engadget. Announced during a livestream fan event in Los Angeles, the multiplayer maps will include Crash, Backlot, Crossfire, Overgrown and Bog, to name a few. The six additional maps will be released on December.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" will be released along with "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" on Nov. 4.
