Sony had announced the launch of Xperia XZ at IFA 2016; however, there was no sign of the highly awaited phone Xperia Z6.
Sony Xperia Z6 is one of the most anticipated smartphone launches of 2016, and since there is no announcement about Xperia Z6 during IFA, it has paved a way for rumors such Z6 must have been cancelled or XZ is a disguise of Z6.
During IFA 2016 event in Berlin, Sony also announced that Xperia XZ phone will be available for United Kingdom in early October; however, the exact release date was not announced. There was nothing in official on the new smartphone's price, though rumors claim that it will have a price between £500 and £600 (SIM-free) once it launches, Tech Advisor has learned.
The speculated features of the upcoming Sony Xperia XZ might be a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 3GB of RAM. Furthermore, according to Tech Radar, Sony's new smartphone will also have a brand new self design - the ALKALEIDO metal back. The Xperia XZ will have a more rounded edge compared to other models, and it will be equipped with the IP68 water resistance feature ensuring the users a worriless experience.
In addition, Xperia XZ only comes in three color: Mineral Black, Platinum, and Forest Blue, while the smartphone's white paper talks about an additional color called Deep Pink, which may be launched later.
If previous experiences are taken into consideration, when pink variations of Sony's flagship handsets were launched, users can expect that the release of Pink Xperia XZ variant can be on or before Valentine's Day or probably during the Chinese New Year in 2017.
