In line with the Chuseok day in Korea, actor Kwak Dong Yeon greeted his fans by wearing a handbok instead of his usual warrior garb. The 19-year old actor stars in KBS2's "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds" together with co-star Park Bo-gum and Kim Yoo-jung.
Kwak plays as Kim Byung Yeon in the KBS2 drama "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds." In the drama, Kwak is a warrior and a guard to the crown prince.
"Moonlight Drawn By Clouds" currently has the highest viewership rating versus its competitors "Scarlet Heart Ryeo" and "Monster." In light with the drama's popularity, Kwak stated "I wish that more people will love "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds" like the way it is now, and may we finish the drama with no one getting hurt on set," Soompi reported. The actor also revealed that Byung Yeon's secret is going to be discovered in the upcoming episodes.
It was previously reported that Kim Yoo Jung has chosen Kwak as her ideal type of guy among the three male guest on MBC's July 25 episode of "Radio Star." In response, Kwak exclaimed that he like Kim So Hyun better as a girl causing laughter in the room, AllKpop reported.
On Aug. 15, Kwak also made his first appearance on MBC's variety program "I Live Alone" showing his daily routine and life. During the broadcast, Kwak titled his video "Life is Lonely" referring that he has lived alone for four years already doing all the household chores.
In 2012, Kwak became a household name playing Bang Janggoon in the KBS television series "My Husband Got a Family." Reaching a 49.6 percent viewership rating, the drama was always been ranked as number one.
Since 2010, Kwak has been studying music at FNC Academy, while he initially studied guitar and bass, Kwak later began taking lessons in acting. Not long after he finished his "Inspiring Generation" drama promotion, Kwak's mother passed away in late February 2014 due to an illness.
