Toho Company Ltd. has done a great job in bringing back Godzilla in Japan. Fortunately, Godzilla fans in the United States will also get the chance to see the return of the classic monster movie. That's right, Funimation confirmed that "Shin Godzilla" will be roaring the U.S theaters for a limited engagement from October 11 to 18.

"Shin Godzilla" is set to screen in more than 440 theaters across the United States and Canada. To celebrate its theatrical debut in the U.S, Funimation has released the first Western trailer. Though a lot of critics wouldn't consider the trailer exclusively "Western." In fact, a review published in Gizmodo suggests that the footage is the same as that of the Japanese trailer.

Toho Company Ltd. also scrapped its plans of changing the title of the movie to "Godzilla: Resurgence," and opted to retain the original "Shin Godzilla" instead.

The revival of the classic monster franchise by Toho Company Ltd. is now considered as the highest grossing live-action film of 2016 in Japan. During its opening week, "Shin Godzilla" managed to pull in $6.1 million, which is thrice the amount the company has gained from its previous Godzilla film.

"Shin Godzilla" is directed by Hideaki Anno (creator of Neon Genesis Evangelion), and co-directed by "Attack on Titan" live action movie director, Shinji Higuchi. Given its mounting status in Japan, the film sounds like it its getting a "must-see" reputation in the U.S. Though it is going to be a Japanese Godzilla movie through and through, Slash Film hints a slight of "Cloverfield" from the trailer.
