Selena Gomez has placed her "Revival World Tour" on hold to prioritize her health. The actress recently revealed that she is suffering from anxiety, depression and panic attacks,  the side effects to her battle with the chronic disease, lupus.

After travelling to different countries for her "Revival World Tour," Gomez has decided to take a break to focus on her health. The singer-actress is currently battling the side effects of lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system fights off healthy tissues. She revealed via People that the disease affects people in different ways, and she discovered that depression, anxiety and panic attacks could become side effects.

A source very close to Gomez clarified that her break from the "Revival World Tour" was not related to alcohol or substance abuse. Back in 2013, rumors circled that the reason why the singer-actress went on break in the midst of her "Stars Dance Tour" was due to depression and addiction.

Gomez was very disappointed about the false rumors that she decided to face the media and clarify her situation. She did not want the same rumors to circulate after her break from the "Revival World Tour." She revealed via Billboard that she had secretly undergone chemotherapy to treat her disease back in 2013, and wanted to lock herself away until she felt comfortable to deal with the crowd again.

Kenneth Farber, the co-president and co-CEO of the Lupus Research Alliance explained that not many people know that depression, anxiety and panic attacks could pose as side effects of lupus. He commended the actress-singer for deciding to take a break from her "Revival World Tour," and address her health issues. He said that "We are so proud of Selena for taking care of herself and bringing awareness to this sometimes very misunderstood illness."

A representative of Gomez revealed that the actress-singer will be donating proceeds from the "Revival World Tour" to the Lupus Research Alliance with the hope that one day, they might be able to further their discoveries and determine a cure for the disease.
