South Korean actress and former LUV member Oh Yeon Seo is going to be one of the lead stars in the upcoming film adaptation of “Cheese in the Trap.”

Oh's participation in the film was revealed by none other than her future leading man, actor Park Hae Jin, during the film’s press conference on Aug. 28, Soompi reported. The actor, who is also the lead star in the TV series version of “Cheese in the Trap,” added that he is looking forward to meeting his co-star.

"Oh Yeon Seo will be playing the role of Hong Sul in the movie 'Cheese in the Trap'. I haven't met her personally yet, so I can't compare her to Kim Go Eun from the drama," All Kpop quoted Park as saying.

“Oh Yeon Seo was talked about often fan castings. I think that she'll understand the webtoon a lot and I'm looking forward to her looking like Hong Sul from the webtoon," added Park.

According to reports, the audition for Oh’s role started in August. In fact, the casting was held both in Korea and China.

Born as Oh Haet-nim, the singer-actress made her debut in the industry when she joined the girl band LUV in 2002; however, due to low popularity, the group parted ways six months later. She entered the world of acting after LUV disbanded and starred in the KBS2 drama “Sharp 1.” She rose to fame in her portrayals in “My Husband Got a Family” (2012) and “Please Come Back, Mister” (2016).
