The events in Whole Cake Island continue to unfold, with the Straw Hat Pirates still in dire straights.  Will they be able to finally rescue Sanji and get away with a copy of the Poneglyph?  "One Piece" Chapter 836 just might have some major developments for fans.

According to Yibada, "One Piece" Chapter 836 will show Luffy defeating Cracker.  Brooke and Pedro are speculated to find the Poneglyph but they will be discovered with Baron Tamago.  There are also guesses that Luffy will rescue the Buried Guy and become allies, while Jinbe might save Pekoms from the sharks. But most of all, with the mention of Lola, the crew just might find a way to get near Big Mom and rescue Sanji.

In Chapter 835, Luffy, Nami, Chopper, and Carrot were still trapped in the Seducing Woods. While trying to figure things out, Luffy learned from Nami that it was his impostor that attacked them. She told him that his doppelganger transformed into a woman named Brulee who tried to slice off her face.  Good thing she was able to use her Climatact.

Meanwhile, Carrot was punched by her own fist through the enemy's reflection power.  Apparently, Brulee is a devil-fruit user who ate the Mirror-Mirror fruit, so whatever attacks they make will just be reflected back to them.  Carrot then got sucked into a mirror and was trapped.

Before they could do anything, Brulee revealed that Big Mom knew that they were there and that the reason she was in the Seducing Woods was because her mother ordered it.  The head of the Big Mom Pirates said that under no circumstances should they be allowed to meet up with Sanji.

Desperate times require desperate measures.  Chopper transformed to let Nami run away and find Luffy.  But Chopper seemed to be in more trouble as Brulee wants to give him to Big Mom for her beast collection.

Back to Nami's conversation with Luffy, the big guy in the forest told them of Big Mom's ability.  She ate the Soul-Soul fruit and the people are required to give up part of their lifespan to her - one month of their lives every six months - in exchange for protection.  The lifespan she takes is sprinkled throughout the island, giving life to random objects.

Moreover, the Buried Guy revealed that he was once Big Mom's husband.

But then, the Minister of Biscuit Charlotte Cracker showed up to stop him talking.  The ex-husband then begged to see his daughters, Chiffon and Lola, and the mention of the latter's name rang a bell in Nami's head.

Fans will recall that Lola was the girl they rescued in Thriller Bark, the one who gave her a piece of her mother's Vivre card.  Will this be the Straw Hat Pirates' way to get near Big Mom and save Sanji?  Will Lola come home in time to save them? Fans will find out in "One Piece" Chapter 836.
