Lionsgate has revealed several character posters for the upcoming "Power Rangers" reboot. This is in line with their promotional strategy and kick-off for the San Diego Comic-Con. A still image of the fight scene between Yellow Ranger (Becky G) and villain Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks) also circulated the social media.

The recenty released posters showcased a close-up look of the actors and their respective roles in the "Power Rangers" reboot. Heatstreet reported that the casting for the film has dodged any racial and stereotypical controversies that came with the color of the suit and the character's race. The black ranger will be portrayed by an Asian guy named Ludi Lin, while the blue ranger will be portrayed by a black guy named RJ Cyler. Meanwhile, Dacre Montgomery suits up as the red ranger, while Latina, Becky G as the yellow ranger and Naomi Scott as the pink ranger.

The creators have let go of the old spandex suit and tweaked the rangers' armor in "Power Rangers" reboot. The suit the rangers will be wearing in the film will not be man-made, but rather, be considered as alien suits that grow on the characters.

Meanwhile, a still photo of Rita Repulsa threatening Trini a.k.a yellow ranger, was also released. Becky G, being the youngest of the cast, shared via Entertainment Weekly how it was like filming the showdown with Banks and her role in "Power Rangers" reboot. She shared that she and Banks wanted to make the scene seem realistic and admitted that she got thrown against the wall and was even proud to announce that she broke it by herself. She also shared how nervous she felt doing the scene with Banks since she looked up to her as an actress.
