Fans who are waiting for "Star Wars Rebels" Season 3 need not wait long, as it was announced that its first two episodes will be shown at the Star Wars Celebration Event 2016 in Europe, with exciting developments and future movie tie-ins possible in the expanding Star Wars universe.

According to MNR Daily, it was confirmed at the official website of Star Wars that the special screening of the two episodes will be shown on July 16, Saturday. The website also announced that supervising director and executive producer Dave Filoni will be sharing sneak peeks on what fans should expect from the highly popular show, along with other special guests.

Fans of the show may also expect a lot of tie-ins with future Star Wars movies, according to Comic Book Resources (CBR). In the report, it was stated that producer Steve Kinberg hinted that the TV show is not really isolated, as there is a chance that certain elements from the popular TV series may find their way to future movies. Some of the characters from the original movies, like Darth Vader and Princess Leia, have already been brought into the series and it is expected that more characters from the movies will also be introduced as well.

Season 2 of "Star Wars Rebels" ended with Ahsoka Tano facing off with her former master Darth Vader, with fans left hanging as to what her fate will be. Fans will also be anticipating what happens to Kanan after being left blind by Darth Maul, and young Ezra Bridger who appeared tempted to join the dark side.
