South Korean celebrity Jang Keun-suk launched his 2016 Asian Tour on Saturday at the Olympic Park in Seoul, South Korea. Jang has fittingly named his tour "It's Showtime."

The actor will be showcasing his singing skills to his fans and will share his experiences as an actor.

Jang's agency, Tree J Company, has confirmed that after his opening event in Seoul, he would have stops in Osaka and Tokyo then Shanghai and Shenzhen. Jang will visit other major cities in Asia as part of his tour.

The 28-year-old Korean actor is known to be one of the most successful Hallyu actors in Japan. He is perhaps most distinguished by the fact that he was the first Korean singer to top the country's music hit chart.

Jang's recent project, "The Royal Gambler," is the actor's first historic drama in eight years. Jang has said that he wants to be known as more than a baby face and hopes that his role in his new series would give the audience that impression.

The series has gotten off to a good start in Japan as it was pre-sold to KNTA, a local Japanese broadcaster that specializes in Korean films. "The Royal Gambler" started to air in April and it has received high viewership ratings. Another of Jang's series entitled "Love Rain" also got high ratings when it was introduced in the country.  A single episode of the show was bought for $300,000.

Jang recently traveled to Nelson College, New Zealand where he was previously a student to film a prelude he called "The Nelson Diary" for his upcoming album.
