"Criminal Minds" is finally renewed for a new season, which made the show's fans happy. Viewers have high hopes that Thomas Gibson will also return now that Shemar Moore will be returning in the season 12 finale.

A recent report from Celebeat suggests that the hit TV show, "Criminal Minds" has been finally renewed for a season 13. New reports are now circulating in the Internet that Thomas Gibson who plays Aaron Hotchner in the famous TV series would reprise his role too.

According to the publication, fans have been hoping that Thomas Gibson would also reprise his role following Shemar Moore's return. Variety has confirmed that Moore's comeback has been followed by a renewal of the series. Thus, fans are now wondering whom the TV show will bring back in the new season.

Reports claimed that Gibson has been pulled out of the "Criminal Minds" after he had an altercation with one of the show's writers. He reportedly had an argument with one of the writers who wrote a script for a segment he was directing back in 2016. This has reportedly caused the producers of the show to remove Gibson from the series.

Gibson's sudden exit has reportedly affected the ratings of the show, as it dropped down rapidly. Fans even started a petition and a hashtag in social media which trended for quite a while, #NoHotchNoWatch. However, the fans' petition still failed to bring back Gibson in the TV series.

The show will bring back the same cast from season 12 and adds Shemar Moore on the lise. In line with the show's renewal, the viewers are hoping that the TV show will bring back Gibson's character before season 12 ends.

As of this date, fans are still hoping to know that Thomas Gibson will be back in the "Criminal Minds" Season 13 after it is finally renewed.
