The latest film release of one of J.K. Rowling's book adaptations, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" has gotten the much expected positive reviews from critics, audiences and the like. Now, a sequel is up for production and actor Jude Law will be playing the role of young Dumbledore.

It has recently been confirmed that the sequel to "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is definitely happening with some of the cast and crew from the first release to return. David Yates is already set to return to direct the sequel, with actor Eddie Redmayne back to star the film alongside actor Johnny Depp who will portray the role of the villain in the upcoming sequel, Grindelwald. Now, one of the most iconic roles of all of the characters from J.K. Rowling's amazing creations is Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster at Hogwarts. According to Variety, actor Jude Law has already been tapped to play the role of the young Dumbledore.

Since "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is set decades before the coming of the legendary Harry Potter, Law will portray the role of Albus Dumbledore before he ever became the headmaster and the most valued mentor to Potter. It has been confirmed that the studio has been considering many of the famous and very well credited British actors for the role of Dumbledore, but Law has been luckily chosen for the part. According to Yates, he is definitely looking forward to be able to work with one of the most talented actors in the industry, with Law having been nominated twice for an Academy Award.

BBC reported that Yates believes that Law will be able to capture all the unexpected facets of Albus Dumbledore since it has been revealed that this is a very different time in the character's life. He will portray the role of the most loved mentors in the "Harry Potter" films, and clearly much will be expected from him in his portrayal of it in the upcoming "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" sequel.
