The most anticipated episode, "The Walking Dead" season 7 finale has finally happened, and although it appeared to have settled some loose ends, it did not quite meet the expectations of the audience. So, who died?

Further information will reveal spoilers as to how "The Walking Dead" season 7 came to an end, one to which somehow didn't surprise the audience given their speculations prior to the episode. Sonequa Martin-Green's character was the one chosen to see the light at the end, as she was being held prisoner by Negan and already expected to die, according to The Sun.

In the episode of "Game of Thrones," her character, Sasha has agreed to work alongside Negan upon her captivity but the latter then used her as bargain for the surrender of Rick's group as he was on his way to Alexandria. Many of the fans already speculated for Sasha to die in the finale, since one major character will most likely be killed off.

Gizmodo reported that many of the fans have observed how the pace of the storyline gets slower by the season, too close to the series becoming dragging already. Since the creators have made an emotional and graceful exit for the characters, it could mean many things to the rest of the characters of the film. However, her death has not necessarily settled the feud between Negan and Rick since they were overshadowed by the death of Sasha.

Many of the fans have already assumed for her character's death after it was announced that the actress who plays the role was confirmed to play the lead character in the upcoming "Star Trek: Discovery." This has then prompted the speculations of her death in "The Walking Dead" season seven.

As for her role as Sasha, she gave justice to the death of other two characters Abraham and Glenn, who were killed off in the premiere of the season. Rick has then been placed in an unfortunate situation as he finds out who among his team betrayed him, which was Jadis and all of her followers as well.

As of now, it is yet to be known when "The Walking Dead" will come back after the end of season 7.
