The high popularity of pirate-based manga and anime has driven a Japanese lingerie company to produce lingeries inspired by the "One Piece" outfit. The lingeries will become one of the official products of the anime created by Toei Animation.

"One Piece" is now undeniably the most popular anime and manga in the world. According to Anime News Network, the manga has sold 350 million copies worldwide as of its 84th volume was released last February. The number is the 30 million increase from three years ago, when the manga set the records with 320 million copies sales in December 2014.

The new updated data has strengthened "One Piece" as "The most copies published for the same comic book series by a single author." Its author Eiichiro Oda was formerly an assistant of two renowned animators Shinobu Kaitani and Masaya Tokuhiro. Oda first made his own original character, Monkey Luffy and his crews of Straw Hat Pirates in July 1997. The character has the ability to extend his limb and body part, due to his rubber-like body characteristics.

Oda never expected "One Piece" to become very popular in the world. After 10 years, the quest of Luffy and his crews to search the ultimate treasure has captivated the fans of manga around the world. Its accompanying anime, followed by movies has also become a successful venture for Oda and Toei Animation.

In respond to its high popularity, a Japanese lingerie company Peach John has teamed iup with Toei Animation to introduce a "One Piece" lingerie theme, according to Kotaku. This will be the second collaboration between Toei Animation Studio and Peach John, after they previously released the "Sailor Moon" nightwear.

In regard to the new lingerie product, "One Piece" lingerie is more like a swimwear than underwear. It is because the anime and manga is about pirates and their seafaring activities. The lingerie will be available in the Japanese market on April 12.
