The reboot of the 1995 film "Jumanji" is right around the corner, and it has been confirmed to be nothing like the original which starred the late actor Robin Williams. The upcoming reboot will star Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson, in a tale so differently told.

It can be recalled that the original 1995 film consisted of two kids who played a board game named "Jumanji" wherein different creatures form the forest come to life and disrupt the real world. In the upcoming reboot, it will be centred on two teens playing a 90s video game console to which they will be sucked into the action,  Vanity Fair reported. This official information on the changes from the original film was confirmed during the Sony Pictures' presentation at CinemaCon last Monday. As opposed to the original film wherein the creatures escape the boardgame and join the real world, the new movie will feature the characters being sucked into its own dimension.

The fans that were present at the CinemaCon however were lucky enough to get a view of a short footage on the upcoming "Jumanji" film, according to Teen Vogue. The clip also featured some details into the upcoming storyline of the film, which reveals to be students undergoing detention and stumbles into the game out of boredom. The official trailer is yet to be released, as well as its release date.

In the new "Jumanji" world, they will play as avatars to be portrayed by Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillian and Jack Black. It has already been explained by Johnson in a post a few months back that the upcoming film will not serve as a reboot or revival of the original film, but rather a sort of continuation to the story. There haven't been much updates and developments on the said film revealed up until now, not even an official trailer just yet. Even so, the fans are already anticipating for the movie even without a look on it yet.
