On Feb. 24, 2016, a new series titled "Descendants of the Sun" introduced us to one of the most well-loved onscreen couples in the industry, the Song-Song couple, which is comprised of actors Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki.

A year after the blockbuster hit premiered on TV, the "Descendants of the Sun" craze is still evident and palpable. In fact, their recent reunion for the drama's first anniversary is giving us all the feels.

According to Soompi, the Song-Song couple reunited at the first anniversary party of "Descendants of the Sun" on Friday. Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki were joined by their co-actors and staff members for the get-together celebration.

Further reports stated the party served as a double celebration for the drama and Song Joong Ki, who was recently awarded at the 29th Korea Producer Awards for his character as Capt. Yoo Si Jin.

Korea Joongang Daily reported the "Descendants of the Sun" leading man mustered a huge lead against other actors for the PD award. The hit drama was Song Joong Ki's first acting project after serving the military.

Song Hye Kyo, on the other hand, took to her Instagram account to share some snippets from their anniversary celebration. Although some of their co-actors were not present, the "Descendants of the Sun" team obviously enjoyed the night together.

Meanwhile, fans of the Song-Song couple and "Descendants of the Sun" could not help but feel nostalgic after seeing the actors in one picture.

"The only couple in Kdrama that I truly adore. Song-Song forever! Happy 1st anniversary! DOTS changed my life," a fan wrote.

"Descendants of the Sun" aired from Feb. 24 to Apr. 14 with special episodes broadcasted from Apr. 20 to 22. The romance drama received much love not only from their Korean audience, but also from viewers all over Asia.
