NBA News & Rumors: DeMarcus Cousins is fined $50K for telling fan to 'sit your a** down'

DeMarcus Cousins still has problem with his temper in his new team. He threw temper tantrum on two occasions and making the NBA gave him a $50,000 fine.

Cousins' first week in New Orleans did not go well, according to CBS Sports. Although he made an excellent play, but since his arrival the Pelicans recorced 6 losses from the last 8 games. Moreover, his temper tantrum even worse as he now directed the outbursts to the fans.

On Sunday March 5 in the game against Lakers, he said a very inappropriate language to a group of Lakers fans. He continued his outburst in the next game on Wednesday against Utah Jazz. When he walked into the locker room, He told the Utah Jazz sitting in the tribune to "sit your a** down."

Due to these two incidents, on Thursday the NBA decided to fine him $50,000 for his inappropriate language directed to fans. This is the second penalty he received since he joined the Pelicans on Feb. 20. Previously, he was suspended one game for committing 18th technical foul in the game against Oklahoma City Thunder, six days after he wore the New Orleans Pelicans Jersey.

The "Boogie" made a good numbers in New Orleans, averaging 22.1 points, 13.6 rebounds and 1.0 block in seven games, Bleacher Report reported. However, his play has not made a significant impact to the team. One interesting fact is that one of the game two winning game was played without him in the roster.

Moreover, Cousins has to be able to keep his temper in check. Nobody ever doubt his talent and skills to bring a high level of play on court. However, his temper hinder him to deliver the best performance, because once he burst out, he could not control his behavior and the official will have to stop him by sending him out of the game.
