Fans also believe that the big twist involves a character that is already dead.

The author has been busy with other projects and previous engagements that he cannot finish the much awaited book. The release date for the last book is yet to be announced by George R.R. Martin himself.

Fear not, Game of Thrones' fans, although there is no exact date, we do know it is within President Trump's term. According to National, George R.R. Martin is set to release the sixth installment of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series before President Donald Trump's term ends. Martin says that the wait will not be for another four years, but with the development of the new storyline, it can cause the release to be set back for another year or two.

The delay may have been caused by the release of a short story that is a prequel to the story. The "Sons of Dragons" is one part of the novel series that will contribute to the current knowledge about Targaryen history.
