"Wreck it Ralph" is adding a new cast member to its highly-awaited sequel.

According to Tracking Board, "Devious Maids" actress Ana Ortiz has been cast to voice a minor role on "Wreck It Ralph" 2. She joins the animated feature film's original cast members John C. Reilly as Ralph, Sarah Silverman as Vanellope von Schweetz, Jane Lynch as Sergeant Calhoun and Jack McBryer as Fix-It Felix.

In addition to "Devious Maids," Ortiz is also known for her role on ABC's Ugly Betty - which she starred opposite America Ferrera. Her recent TV credits include: "Royal Pains," "Marry Me," "Covert Affairs," "Black-Ish," "Family Guy" and "How To Get Away With Murder."

Directed by Rich Moore, the upcoming sequel will find Ralph's wrecking wreaking havoc on the internet as the world of Wreck-It Ralph moves away from arcades and into the virtual space. Clark Spencer is attached as producer with writer Phil Johnston co-directing alongside Moore.

Speaking with Collider, Moore previewed what moviegoers can expect from the sequel, teasing that the technology used in creating the film will be bigger than what they saw in "Big Hero 6" or "Zootopia."

"This time we're going to take that same technology and build a very fantastic world," Moore said.

"A world of the Internet and what that would look like. And try to capture, for the first time in a big movie, we are now growing up with the Internet and seeing what it is, and trying to kind of visualize that for the first time and send characters into that world."

As to which time period "Wreck it Ralph 2" is set, Moore revealed that it will take place in the current day, picking up six years after the first film.

"Wreck It Ralph 2" is slated to hit theaters on March 9, 2018.
