Lee Dong Wook has finally spoken up to address reports about how he got his role in blockbuster drama "Goblin." In fact, the actor expressed his frustration after several outlets allegedly reported false claims.

"I read an article about how I was cast in "Goblin," and I was upset to discover a few parts that were described incorrectly," he said as cited by Soompi.

The actor admitted reaching out to writer Kim Eun Sook for the role in the fantasy drama; however, Lee Dong Wook denied that the writer was initially considering someone else to play as Grim Reaper.

The "Goblin" actor added Kim Eun Sook personally called him to apologize for the incorrect reports. Contrary to initial claims, Lee Dong Wook clarified he approached the writer even before the drama's synopsis was released.

During that time, the 35-year-old actor gets offered for a lead role of another project. But after learning about "Goblin" in its developing stages, Lee Dong Wook became interested in the character of Grim Reaper as well as the drama's storyline.

When asked about Gong Yoo, the "Hotel King" star stated his co-actor has been supportive of his acting. In return, Lee Dong Wook promised to support the "Train To Busan" actor in his endeavors.

"Filming the drama was a lot of fun, possibly because we started out with an honest conversation," he said, adding all of them enjoyed the filming of "Goblin."

Following the success of the fantasy drama, Lee Dong Wook has been busy doing photo shoots for magazines. The Korean actor recently landed the cover page of "Arena Homme +" and Thailand's "Elle Men."

He was also chosen as the new face of "Liiv Mate" alongside on-screen partner Yoo In Na. Aside from brand promotions, Lee Dong Wook is set to hold a fan meeting tour starting Mar. 12 in Seoul as per Allkpop.

King Kong Entertainment shared the actor personally participates in the preparation of his Asian fan meeting tour despite his hectic schedule. Previous reports stated tickets for his Seoul show immediately sold out within one minute.

Lee Dong Wook is confirmed to visit Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand and Japan for his "For My Dear" Asian tour from April to June.
