Following her amazing performance at the Oscars on Sunday, Moana star/singer Auli'i Cravalho has landed her first TV role on NBC's "Drama High."

Based on Michael Sokolove's book of the same name, "Drama High" revolves around an extraordinary working-class high school drama department and the incredible students who come alive under a passionate teacher and family man whose dedication to the program galvanizes the entire town. According to Deadline, Cravalho has been tapped to play Lilette - one of the students of high school drama teacher, Lou Volpe.

Entertainment Weekly shared more details about Cravalho's character in the project. It reads: "Lilette works part-time after school at the local town diner. She is so much more than Vanessa, her single mother, thinks she is. Lilette has big dreams, and joining the drama department is one of them."

No word yet on which actress will take on the role of Lilette's mother, Vanessa. "Drama High" hails from co-creators Jason Katims (Parenthood) and Jeffrey Seller (Hamilton).

In "Moana," Cravalho voiced the title character and also performed the show's hit soundtrack "How Far I'll Go," written by "Hamilton" creator and star Lin Manuel Miranda. The film was a smash success, earning more than $500 million at the box office worldwide. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Nicole Scherzinger, Alan Tudyk, Rachel House also starred in the animated feature.

"Drama High" joins five other drama pilots ordered by NBC for the next TV season. The list includes "For God And Country" starring Mike Vogel and Anne Heche; "Good Girls" starring Kathleen Rose Perkins and Mae Whitman; 'Reverie" starring Sarah Shahi and Dennis Haysbert; "Redliners" from Shaun Cassidy and Kelly Sue DeConnick; and an untitled drama series from Warren Leight, which stars Paola Lazaro and Matthew James Thomas.

Additional casting information and production details about "Drama High" are expected to be announced on a later date.
