Rockstar Games is seemed to be very silent as of the moment and the team behind the award-winning "Grand Theft Auto" title, never provide any details to its sixth installment. Despite that, "GTA 6" is surrounded with numerous rumors, including its potential release date.

According to Tech Mic, "GTA 6" is unlikely to be seen until the Red Dead Redemption 2 arrives. Rockstar Games is currently engaged with the development of the western version of the Grand Theft Auto series.

However, the company is confirmed to have separate divisions dedicated to each franchise. Primarily, Rockstar San Diego is the one responsible for the Red Dead Redemption franchise, while the Rockstar North is working on the Grand Theft Auto series.

Reports show that both teams are currently working side by side on the upcoming project, known to be the RDR2. Most of the team members are confirmed working to together for the western RPG sequel while some of the guys are left to work with GTA.

A tipster named Yan2295 said that some members of the Rockstar North are reportedly working on "GTA 6" but the manpower is very limited. It is due to the fact that some of them left to work with the Rockstar San Diego for another game.

Since the western-themed RPG Red Dead Redemption 2 is about to release this Fall, it's pretty safe to say that the "GTA 6" is likely to come around not for long. After all, GTA fans are still enjoying the fun with the GTA V Online along with its regular updates and add-on contents.

According to Mobi Picker, they said that the long wait for the "GTA 6" might continue until 2019 or 2020. Having said that the Red Dead Redemption 2 is very similar to the GTA series' gameplay, Rockstar Game might consider developing some updates, patches, DLC's and online features of the game for several years before releasing the much-awaited "GTA 6."

AS of today, Rockstar Games are focused on the development of the Red Dead Redemption 2, while doing some tweaks on GTA V Online. As a fan, all we need to do so far is to wait for any official announcement from the game developers.
