After receiving criticisms for uploading her bare-faced photo on Instagram just recently, Kim Go Eun upheld women empowerment in the latest edition of "Elle" magazine.

In the accompanying interview, the "Goblin" actress has some words of encouragement to women from all over the world. Aside from voicing out the importance of women, Kim Go Eun also talked about how hard it is to be woman in a patriarchal society.

Koreaboo cited Kim Go Eun only aims to have a healthy mind and heart; however, the actress admitted achieving these states is easier said than done.

"It would be great to be physically beautiful to many people's eyes, but if I try and change myself to satisfy a set standard of beauty, I feel like I'll exhaust myself," she said.

In a world where everyone tends to seek other people's approval, the "Goblin" star shared she will continue to show her individuality. "I believe everyone is beautiful in their own way," Kim Go Eun added.

When asked about the greatest pleasure of being a woman, the Korean actress said "women are beautiful just by existing." Kim Go Eun even compared women to diamond that can stand the test of time.

A previous article of Allkpop showed how Kim Go Eun transformed into a beautiful woman after being in the industry for five years. After the success of "Goblin," old photos of the actress captured the attention of the netizens.

Although she has grown more mature, Kim Go Eun has maintained her bubbly smile and sparkling eyes. Many netizens also took notice of her natural beauty, pointing out her charm and happy disposition.

"She has a very authentic Korean look. I love double eyelids. She is absolutely stunning and gorgeous," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "I'm not sure what she's like in real life but I get the feeling that she's the cute and bubbly type."
