Google recently launched a new platform specifically designed to address the demand of YouTube users residing in areas with slow internet connections. It has been presumed that the new upgrade would promote better viewing experience for the users.

According to GSM Arena, Google just released its YouTube Go app for regions with slow internet and the beta app works similarly to the regular YouTube Android app, but gives the option to download a video for offline viewing.

Also, there is Basic Quality and Standard Quality that ranges around 144p and 360p for the YouTube Go app and there is no HD quality available, but this is understandable since the YouTube Go platform will target users with low bandwidth.

People can even share downloaded videos via Bluetooth to save even more of that precious data although Google has warned that a 15kb security check will need to be performed first, as noted by the same post.

Meanwhile, Android Authority reports that Google unveiled the app in September last year and it's no doubt going to be welcomed by those who don't have such easy access to mobile data. However, the downside of the release is that it is not readily accessible for download in all regions. As for the dates of having the app be accessible for other regions, Google has not given any headsup for its date.

For those that wants to have the YouTube Go app on their devices, the location might matter. As for the other pertinent details regarding the application, full details remains to be revealed.
